Answer these questions by reviewing the notes for week 10.
- For web pages to work, the parts need to be able to find and interact with each other. For example, a CSS style must be affiliated with the HTML structural element to which it applies, and DHTML (which uses Javascript and CSS) must have a way for JavaScripts to relate user actions (mouse movements or key strokes) to page events (rollover effects, page altering clicks, etc.). What role does the Document Object Model (DOM) play in this. Give one specific example using a workable line of code (i.e., using html, css, or javascript in any form).
- In building a web development service company, I have hired a team of 6 producers, each specializing in one of the following: writing, html, css, flash, php and MySQL, and javascript. Based on their expertise, tell me which one (and only one) should always be appointed as team leader, and why.
- Describe one nested-list (list with sub lists) menu effect that would be best rendered with javascript; that is, what display effect could you not do with CSS alone (e.g., the More-Meyer Project 6 CSS manipulation for list-based drop-down menus.
- In website redesign, what is the primary purpose of the Communication Brief (also called "Creative Brief")?
- List the main components of the Client Survey.
